Terms of use and sale

Last updated: 21 October 2026

These Terms of use and sale (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the website redflagradar.fr and the mobile application Red Flag Radar (the “Service”), published by Romain Mathieu (the “Provider”).

By accessing the Service or subscribing to a paid plan, you (the “User” or “Customer”) accept these Terms without reservation. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Service.

1. Definitions

  • Service: the mobile app for relationship self-assessment and conversation-screenshot analysis, together with the website redflagradar.fr. Red Flag Radar is not a dating service, a messenger, or medical or psychological advice.
  • Free plan: access to the Service without payment, with the results shown for free in the app (for example the score and verdict of an analysis).
  • Pro subscription: auto-renewable subscription (weekly or yearly, according to the catalogue shown by the App Store or Google Play) giving access to the full report of all your analyses for its duration.
  • Single report: one-time purchase, without subscription, that unlocks the full report of a single analysis.
  • User Content: answers, screenshots, conversations and data that you import, create or store via the Service.

2. Purpose of the Service and disclaimer

Red Flag Radar provides software to help you read a relational situation. Results (scores, explanations, screenshot analysis) are provided “as is” and may involve approximations. Screenshot analysis is produced by an artificial-intelligence model (OpenAI) from the image you submit, via our backend.

The Service is informational and educational. It is not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice, a professional diagnosis, or a substitute for consultation with a mental-health professional.

If the analysis detects threats, control or violence, or if you say you are afraid, the full report and helplines are shown for free. If you are in danger or distress, contact the competent services: in France 3919 (Violences Femmes Info), 119 (child protection), 17 (police) or 114 (emergency by text); in Belgium 0800 30 030 (Écoute Violences Conjugales); anywhere in the European Union 112.

The Provider does not warrant any relational outcome. You remain solely responsible for the decisions you take.

3. Eligibility

The Service is reserved for people aged 16 and over. 16–17-year-olds may use it for their own conversations; their purchases are subject to the store’s parental controls and approval rules (Family Sharing, Google Play parental controls). The following are prohibited: unlawful or harassing use, submitting sexual content involving a minor, and submitting conversations between people under 16.

You are solely responsible for the lawfulness of the Content you import (third-party conversations, screenshots, other people’s personal data) and for respecting the secrecy of correspondence.

4. Licence to use

The Provider grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not: reverse-engineer abusively outside legal exceptions, extract the Service to create a competing service, overload the infrastructure, circumvent free/premium limitations, or use the Service to distribute malware or unlawful content.

5. User Content

Your Content remains yours. You grant only the minimal technical licence needed to operate the Service on your device and, when you start an analysis, to transmit the screenshot to OpenAI to fulfil your request. Details: privacy policy.

The Provider is not liable for loss of data stored only on your device in the event of uninstall, device change, failure, or voluntary deletion.

6. Free plan and paid offers

6.1 Free plan

The free plan is commitment-free and may change. Depending on the presentation shown, the analysis may be offered for free with a preview of the result (score, verdict, titles of the signals) or be available after purchase. In all cases, analyses are limited to 15 per day per installation to prevent abuse.

6.2 Pro subscription

The Pro subscription is an auto-renewable subscription contract for a digital service. It unlocks the full report of all your analyses (explained signals, summary, advice) while it is active. It renews at the end of each period at the stated price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (see section 9).

6.3 Single report

The single report is a one-time purchase, without subscription. It unlocks the full report of the current analysis only. This unlock is remembered on the device used: it cannot be restored after uninstalling, clearing the app’s data or changing device, nor transferred to another analysis.

6.4 Promotional offers and presentation of offers

Promotional offers may be made available, for example a reduced price for the first period of a subscription during the first use of the app, or a launch offer whose end date is shown. Their terms (reduced price, duration, price charged afterwards) are shown before purchase. The order, highlighting and timing of the offers may vary between users in order to improve the Service (A/B tests); the prices charged for a given product are those of the store.

6.5 Prices and pre-contractual information

Prices, period, renewal and cancellation terms are those shown by the App Store or Google Play before purchase. They prevail over any marketing statement. The amounts actually charged are those of the store, in the local currency, including taxes under the applicable rules.

On iOS, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Subscriptions can be restored in the app (“Restore purchases”).

7. Payment, stores and providers

Payments are processed by Apple and/or Google, via RevenueCat as a technical entitlements intermediary. Apple’s, Google’s and RevenueCat’s terms apply to payment processing in addition to these Terms. We do not store full credit-card numbers.

In case of payment failure, fraudulent dispute or abusive chargeback, premium access may be suspended.

8. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

In accordance with Articles VI.47 et seq. of the Belgian Code of Economic Law and Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract.

Exception — digital content / service started: for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium and/or services whose performance has begun with your express prior consent, and where you have acknowledged losing your right of withdrawal (confirmation at Apple or Google checkout where applicable), the right of withdrawal may no longer apply once premium access is activated (Art. VI.53 CEL).

In-app purchase refunds are in practice handled by Apple or Google under their rules. You may also write to contact@redflagradar.fr; we will point you to the applicable store procedure.

9. Cancellation and refund

You may cancel a subscription at any time from the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account:

  • iOS: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Red Flag Radar > Cancel.
  • Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Red Flag Radar > Cancel.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: no pro-rata refund is due for a period already started, except (i) contrary mandatory legal obligation, (ii) valid exercise of the right of withdrawal, (iii) the store’s refund policy, or (iv) a commercial gesture by the Provider.

The single report is delivered immediately after purchase; it is non-refundable, except as required by law or Apple/Google refund policies. When a promotional period ends, the subscription continues at the regular price shown at purchase unless cancelled.

The Provider may cancel or suspend access in case of material breach of the Terms, fraud, unlawful use, or a security imperative, with notification where reasonably possible.

10. Availability, changes

The Service is provided on a best-efforts basis. No availability rate (SLA) is guaranteed on the public offering. The Provider may modify, interrupt or withdraw features, including the free plan, for maintenance, security, compliance or product evolution.

11. Artificial intelligence

Screenshot analysis uses an artificial intelligence model (OpenAI) to detect patterns in conversations, taking into account the context and doubts you provide. It is an analysis for entertainment and self-reflection, not professional advice. Results are generated automatically, rely only on the excerpt submitted and may contain inaccuracies; they must not be interpreted as definitive conclusions about a person.

12. No absolute warranty

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. The Provider does not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that the analysis will be accurate, or that it will produce a relational effect.

Nothing herein excludes mandatory legal warranties available to consumers (conformity of the digital service, etc.).

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian and EU law:

  • the Provider is not liable for indirect damage, loss of opportunity, loss of local data, loss of profit, reputational harm, relational consequences, or damage resulting from non-compliant use, nor for decisions made on the basis of the Service’s results;
  • the Provider’s total liability in a dispute relating to the premium plan is limited to the total amount paid by the Customer during the twelve (12) months preceding the triggering event;
  • no limitation applies in case of fraud, intentional misconduct, physical integrity harm, or other cases where the law prohibits limitation.

14. Indemnification

You will indemnify the Provider against any third-party claim resulting from your User Content or unlawful use of the Service, unless the claim results solely from the Provider’s fault.

15. Intellectual property

Red Flag Radar, the code, design and associated trademarks remain the property of the Provider or its licensors. Your Content remains yours.

16. Personal data

Processing of personal data, including transmission of a screenshot to OpenAI during an analysis, is described in the privacy policy.

17. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure due to force majeure under Belgian law (disaster, widespread Internet outage, act of government, unavailability of the Apple or Google stores, etc.).

18. Changes to the Terms

The Provider may amend these Terms. The version in force is the one published on this page with its update date. For premium subscribers, a material adverse change may be notified; you may cancel before it takes effect if you do not accept the new version.

19. Applicable law — disputes — mediation

The Terms are governed by Belgian law. Mandatory consumer-law provisions of the EU User’s country of residence remain applicable.

Before any court proceedings, contact contact@redflagradar.fr. Consumers may refer to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (mediationconsommateur.be). Subject to mandatory rules, the courts of the judicial district of Hainaut (Charleroi division), Belgium, shall have jurisdiction.
